Default Which youtube version works best?

Noticed the latest version of youtube from aptoide has a habit of freezing requiring a reboot of the book to restore function.

Doesn't seem to want to play nice with the latest from buztv.

Quite the old thread but recently my kid was trying youtube on the box and the audio is fine but the video is choppy. Did the youtube update and rebooted the box but still the same.
Does youtube actually work on the xpl3000?

I've had the xpl3000 for a couple of years now and have Youtube ver 2.08.10 loaded. The previous version started freezing, as it turns out I was running out of memory. I loaded a small sd card to extend the memory of the Buzz box, reinstalled a few apps and it works well.
I'll probably order a bigger sd card as I like to run Kodi as well, Kodi can be a big memory hog.

Ive only used the box for live tv. Had it for a few years also but never used or installed other apps. The kid just asked me about youtube the other day for the first time. So, I dont think addding a memory card will help. Should have lots of storage.
I do also clear memory (little broom icon) and cache every few weeks also and a router reboot monthly.
So you have youtube running well on this box?

Youtube works very well, in fact 6 months ago my iptv provider closed down and I took a break. I watched Youtube more than ever. I then got a Premium account which means no commercials and you get google music. The quality is much better than an iptv subscription imo.
I plugged a playstation usb camera in the Buzz box (put black tape over the lens) so you search by saying what you are looking for as you are using the microphone, much easier than typing

Well, I dont know what the problem was but I have 3 of these boxes in the house and the other 2 work fine. I just swapped out the kitchen one for the one in my room.....Problem solved except the one box that wont play correctly.....Choppy video all the time.
At least the kid is happy now.....lol.

maybe try a uninstall and then reinstall it, maybe it didn't load correctly, just a thought.

Yeah, I tried that. Even tried older versions to see if that fixed it but nope. Not a biggie as at least it works on the tv upstairs. I never use the box for youtube........Just live tv and movies.
