    Default sat9182 announcement

sat9182 is making some changes this week

sidless boxes will be moved to a different port ( port 54321 )
if your box quits working and is sidless, odds are you have been moved try port 54321 before pming us

we are seeing more and more users also sending dish request to the bev port this will not be tolerated
we are going to give each user one warning & if second offense happens after warning you will be moved to a cache port

I'm a little more curious about the dish requests with the bev port....not really sure what that means.

People trying to get dish with bev provider?

I think sideless are receivers like SV, although i'm not positive of that.

I think that sometimes the stb's that are set up to receive both north & south can send the wrong requests to the iks server.

if you have 1 receiver with both north and south can cause a problem.

if the receiver is on south channels, some- not all receivers, will search the north server and screw up channels for the users watching them by repeatedly hitting the server

moving the sidless to separate port will help all users and making sure you have only north server running while running your receiver will stop the issue

sidless are boxes that do not tell the server what channel you are on and just sends 0000 as channel number
like provider ird some n fusions and older sonic views

as for dish hitting bev port
yes it is people that have boxes that dont know what server slot is bev and dish and send the request to all server slots

this is one the reasons you should have one box for each provider or if you dont use dish anymore should disconnect your dish provider line

Lets say someone has only 1 bell sub on 1 dish but has another dish pointing at dish 110 to receive the unscrambled Motor Trend...all connected to the same sat receiver. No south sub just watching a free dish channel...will this cause the problem with the dish hits on a bell server???

I'd like to know why this new port isn't getting every channel as I was on the main port?

its a cache port for sidless and problem users

if you want to be on main port get a box thta puts out a sid or fix your setup if already have a box that produces sids

we are not going to let a handful of users screw up main port for everyone else

What exactly do you mean by cache port? If the main port has chan X and a user on port 54321 requests chan X, then shouldn't the cache port retrieve the control words from the main port? If the cache port has only its own set of chans, is there a listing for this?
