Is there any chance that the Mlb package could be made available to the sidless receivers?I tried to watch the Chisox game yesterday and over the course of the game saw the picture twice
Checkswitch for sidless?
OK I'm finding that a little more looking around helps....but I plan to test one a dem dare FTA low end power supply units
Are you saying you were watching it and then it was gone?
If so then I think someone was watching this game with a receiver that provides the SID to the server - while someone is watching that channel it will be available to everyone to watch because the control words will be in the cache memory for all SIDless receivers to use and for all other receivers. Once someone is getting the control words for a channel - then all other requests for the same control words go to the cache server - FSLB - the load balancer - will send all other requests to the cache - it won't bother sending any more requests to the card servers as that would be a waste of time. Why tie up the card servers doing work that has already been done.
If the guy watching then switches from the Chisox game to a diffferent channel then the control words will not be in the cache and no SIDless receiver will be able to watch.
As soon as a receiver provides the SID for a channel - it will get sent to the card servers to generate the control words.
The only way the control words will get to the cache is if someone that provides the SID is watching that channel or if the Server owners pull the control words for that channel and store it in the cache.

hd channels working perfectly here.
maybe you have a receiver problem
How do I know if my receiver is sidless, do you have a list of known good or known bad receivers?
How do you send that first warning? Email, PM...?
I haven't logged in for a while, I'm afraid I might have missed something. And I have been noticing random channels the picture "breaking up" in squares and sound stuttering after say 15-20 minutes. Others work just fine for hours. Wonder if that's a symptom of being moved to cache port or should I look for the issue somewhere else. I haven't changed any ports yet and still running on default 12345
if you were moved ports you would have had to change it in your server settings on your receiver. If you did not do that then you haven't been moved.
Sounds like you have bad signal to me. Check your signal quality bars on all transponders. Something may have moved, like your dish or something LNB going bad or rusted wires, bad switch to name a few. Don't let the receiver run like that, turn it off, that will get you moved to the cache port. Start with checking all your equipment.
you say sound stuttering after say 15-20 minutes.
well sound is not encrypted so I would be looking at your box or dish setup
maybe switch or dish aliment is not perfect
or box is overheating
main port should have no issues your box is not sidless or you would have had to change port by now
