The worst place for mosquitos in Canada is said to be Komarno, Manitoba.

The worst in the US is Atlanta, Georgia.

To live with no mosquitos you have to move to Iceland. It is not known why but there are none there.

(All I know is that in the cedar forest where I live you don't wanna go out after sundown or you loose a pint of blood pretty quick).

Only one thing worse than the mosquitos in the north:the black flies that preceed them.I spent a weekend in Algonquin Park in early May as a younger man...NEVER again.

I know what you mean but if I had to choose one I would take black flies. Nothing worse than lying in a dark tent and you hear that high pitch whine from the mosquito - when the whine stops you know it landed somewhere and you wait for the bite. At least black flies are silent. That whine from the mosquitos is enough to make you go insane.

Not bad on a 4 wheeler you can out run them or they seem to fly beside you.But if you stop your screwed. So you better have lots of gas and a reliable machine.Once your out of the bush they seem to dissipate.
