    Yes it does matter where you live and climate can interfere.

    Here you all can figure it out, at an antenna height of 25 feet the transmitter at 150 miles would need to be at 13,800 feet.

    I live on the nc and sc state line and can get tv from georgia a 100 miles away and over 100 miles north up nc.So I live in pretty flat area.

    I posted the spec's of the antenna and I said I was getting tv over 100 miles away close to 150.

    Explains a few of my early morning ota/SV scanning mysteries. Was beginning to believe I had a U-110 with a demon in it.

    I live on one side of a mountain range and get nothing from other side so no Tropospheric scatter here just tv stations.

    I had a modified 6 meter beam that I used to pick up BBC 1 when 6 meter skip was hot, I had an old PAL TV set from a long time ago, worked good when the tropo's were right.

    Had a quad 2 meter setup also, could work Europe over the poles when it was right.
