Sometimes I will hear a sound tone while watching tv and wondering if this is a update sound message for a apps or something else and where to go to turn it off.

No don't believe so.It is a short sound letting us knowing something or not.

The sound that comes up when watching tv sounds like when maybe exiting from a program apps.I hear this on a paid iptv server.Not sure if apps or server related.

Sometimes I get a long buzzing noise but it's from the channel, after changing it stops

Its not a noise it is a a deliberate chime for something.It rarely does it and it lasts about a second.

If it sounds like a ding or chime noise
Then its just Android notifying you of a Notification that just happened from one of the apps that are installed on your box.

If you use You Tube, it can have daily notification updates
You can turn these off by finding the You Tube app in Google Settings, and just turning notifications off.

Same here I hear the same loud sound/Noise on my buzz every now and then...
still dont know the reason why is doing that..
No big deal...
