    Default Wow

What an understatement....Just replaced the hard drive in this PC with a new 1 TB SSD drive from SanDisk (got a good deal on it) what a change in performance, I would say about a 75% increase in speed of booting up, loading and running of some of the larger programs.

I am very impressed....Will have to do this to the other PC's as needed.(and when I can afford to)

SSD is the way to go for sure.I had some reservations about reliabiliy when I first started using them, but the reality is I've lost several hdd's to failure over the last 5 years, & not ONE ssd failure.I have about 25 in use.

Even Older PC'S that can handle SSd's will see a Huge Performance Boost, when I switched over I couldn't believe the difference.
Also just a note, with a SSD make sure trim is enabled, which it should be on Win7 & UP Auto.

Agreed Auggie...and if your BIOS supports AHCI, mount the drive that way.Largest speed improvement you can add to a ssd drive, as long as your bios supports it.
