If the ARQ100 remote could turn on & off the buzz box using RF instead of IR it would be useful.
I guess I have yet another remote to throw in the junk drawer.

Considering these remotes use a USB key to communicate with your box, it is not really easy to do, since it would mean your box would need to keep the USB powered, and monitored, even when it is off.
Only way to get that done, would be to use a separate IR blaster, with an RF receiver and separate power source. So that way, it is not dependent on power from your box, and can still send your box a signal which it would recognize.
Yep that’s what I have setup, ir blaster through my hdmi extender over cat 5. A small ir repeater over the buzz tv ir input.
Then I use a Dish 21.1 uhf/ir remote to control everything! That remote has the ability to learn the commands from the original buzz tv remote. Just switch to aux to run buzztv, It works very well!
I just wasted money buying the ARQ100. We now have A small doorstop.
Cheers
Is the date on the firmware file correct? 20180607 indicates the build is from last year. Is it supposed to say 2019?
Edit: looks like this is indeed the 20180509 firmware from last year with support for ARQ100 remote patched in. Thanks for the upload.

The other arq100 thread was closed so hopefully I can put this here......
Can you program this remote with an original buzz remote if some of the buttons dont work after using the uploaded file posted in the other thread? Read some posts that the livetv/vod and guide buttons didnt work which is why Im asking although someone did post that a different button could be used for guide.......
Well thats good to hear. So I may not even have to use the patch thats in the other post.....Its for a friend so hopefully they do all work and then Ill prolly get one for myself. Thanks DU.

So will it work right out of the box or will I need to use the patch? It will be used with a 7.1.2 buzz box.
ahhh, ok. Thanks again....
Well, I just got one of these ARQ remotes and some of the buttons dont work like the original. Using the guide button brings up info. The 'settings' button, just above the red button brings up the guide. I tried the 'rocket' button and it goes to the last channel. Is there a way to get these buttons working correctly? My buddy got a box online with the ARQ remote and all his buttons work perfect. I have the 7.1.2 model of the buzz.......
use the patch file in the stickys
Post 10 from DU states that the patch is for android 6.0. Mine is 7.1.2. Does it matter?
