Its definitely a sat service and can get quite pricey if you subscribe to the hbo package , cinemax package, starz package and epix package.

Hmmmmm something to play with do a right click on the page we have access to
the inspect element.I assume this app is similar to"dish anywhere" but not sure dont
know anyone with this service?Im sure someone down the line will make a config for it.

Id say its still cheaper to for this than getting the same stuff from the other competitors. the best part is they dont lock you into a contract with this either and you own your equipment.

Orby TV has 2 transponders on Eutelsat West A (117). DVB S2 and uses Nagravision, according to Lyngsat.

Not with DirecTV DU - they are considered leased receivers and you have to return the card and receiver to them if you cancel your receiver - if you don't they'll bill you.

Lol never had charlie service but over the years I collected at least 20 or more abandoned charlie & Dave dishes & lnbs found atop roofs I worked on...some were brand new...

and I live in Canada...lol
and for the price of a new lnb/dish it would be a waste of money to pay an installer to uninstall equipment
even when you move you get a new setup...they don't go to old address to transfer equipment

I was amazed at what installers left behind....my last find from a few years ago brand new still in cardboard a 6'X 6' non penetrating dish mount w 2" pole...

im really curious if anyone will attempt to crack this as another option for south IKS? not as many channels as the others but one thing i do know is this company is in its infancy so their hardware and software alike will have flaws that can be exploited to crack the system. first production software and hardware is never fully sealed up from tampering right out of the gate. im willing to bet if someone got their claws on an STB they would find a serial header, J tag header or even a TTL 3V3 header that is essentially a developer back door or how the STB was loaded with its firmware during production. heck, they might even have the firmware and everything loaded on an external flash that could be unsoldered and read because i know that BGA style processors with integrated flash memory arent cheap compared to just using a standard processor and external flash for operating data.

time for a flashback but if my memory serves me correct the original daveTV STB's that got hacked had standard 28 pin OTP eproms with an extremely common intel 8051 based processor that was used in literally every in the late 80's through the early 90's. 8051 assembler language is whats taught in most programming 1 classes as the basics. either that processor or the motorola 6800 series which was equally as common. that right there says that daveTV was not ready for anything like this and left that giant hole in security buy not using proprietary hardware but instead using common off the shelf hardware to save on cost of manufacturing their first units. when it first opened they rushed their asses off to get new more secure and proprietary based hadware STB's out to customers to close that hole on the software end.
