    Default wifi not so good

just upgraded the internet from the 300 to the 600
and if i hard wire i get 640 on the lap top250
but not so good on the wifi. i think like 200 when i sit right beside it

now upstairs it drops down to bellow 100. but i have a tp link router hard wired and when on that one 5g
    i get 250

i want to see like 400 i talked to the internet guy and they messed around for an hour and then cam back saying you best is 300 to 400 on wifi then hung up lol

any recommended setting i need to change in my routers?

Most standard WIFI routers will only do around 300 Mbps, you would have to look around to find a good one that would do any faster then 300, there are some that say they will go to 600 even some that say they will go a gigabit on WIFI, but it all depends on the location of the router, whats between you and the router, and how far you are from the router.

The further away you are from the router the slower the WIFI speed, look for a good high power router as most are only 200 mW on the WIFI output.

I use a R20000G router from ampedwireless, it has a 600 mW output, and is dual band.
