SSD's are better cause they take less power, than regular HDD'S

Update: I was told earlier to use an SSD in a powered enclosure so I used a WD internal SSD because that is the only SSD would work with the enclosure.

Do not purchase an external SSD it will not work.

I tried it on my T3 after I used easeus partition master to format it to FAT 32 first as a primary drive which showed up as an INVALID DRIVE then I used convert to Logical that did not work either.

External powered USB drives used to work on the T3 which still work on my DL T1 box.

Some say I should only run one SAT on the T3 because right now it cannot handle SAT 110 and SAT 91 that could be overpowering the T3.

However I used to run SAT 110, 119 and 91 and at one time SAT 129 on both T3 and T1 the external usb powered worked on both boxes.

I have tried to unplug the T3 unhook the SAT 110 from the disque switch and it still showed up as INVALID DRIVE for the PVR.

Could it be that the T3 is slowly going and cannot handle any PVR that is powered has to be plugged in of course not to use the power of the Dreamlink.

Someone please let me know what else I can use so I don't keep on getting this INVALID DRIVE for PVR.

    Thanks in advance.

I still believe your problem is power related, not enough to run "ALL" the power-hungry equipment
needed currently/today. these FTA Boxes when they first came out, were not designed to run all this stuff
    that's required Now-days etc.

    Thank you The Noof.

I believe that it could be the power supply and cord that had been replaced due to T5 rebooting.

I could be wrong when it comes to issues with PVR, but before it did no have issues with that PVR before then.

The DL T1 is still running on original power supply cord and external powered USB Drive.

However I will try one more time with the Adata SSD which I have questions for...

Does the Adata SSD come with it's own enclosure with power supply, and is the SSD and internal SSD or does the power supply enclosure allow an external SSD?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

It is enclosed, but powered by the usb port on the dreamlink. An ssd uses the same amount of power a usb thumb drive usues. If the dreamlink powers one, it will power the other.Could very well be a power supply issue.I have not had any ps issues as of yet, but I did try to remedy a sat signal issue with a larger power supply on 1 T5, but it wasn't the issue:it was the dl200.

Update: before I went with an Adata SSD I ordered a powered enclosure for an internal SSD.

I finally decided to disconnect Sat 110 from the Disque Switch.

Now I am only running Sat 91 directly to the T5. I tried connecting that powered SSD in the enclosure, but still freezes up showing scrambled Channel.

I will be ordering the Adata SSD to work with the stubborn T5.

Also a WD powdered USB would not work.

I decided also to go with only one Sat 91 so a Zinwell Switch I won't bother with.

You say: Now I am only running Sat 91 directly to the T5. I tried connecting that powered SSD in the enclosure, but still freezes up showing scrambled Channel. What exactly is "FREEZING UP" The T5 or the SSD ??
If it's the T5 (Freezing) then you have some other problem that's not related to connecting that powered SSD is my guess ?

If it is the T5 let's say what can be done? A System recovery?

I also don't know if it can be the power supply adapter or not everything else is working fine on the T5.
