Default OK2 Brighter Picture with IPTV Smarters

    Hello,

Not sure if this has been already discussed.

Is there a setting or a specific medial player to use with IPTV Smarters to enhance the brightness of the picture quality? I find it a little darker than the OK3 I was running on the STB Emu app. I Running OK2 on Nvidia Shield TV and a Firestick.

Is it the IPTV Smarters app itself, and should I try a different one?

Yes, I have. All other apps I run are of great picture quality. My tv settings were the first thing I checked.

Have you tried changing Media players in the app ? I believe by default it uses an internal media player, but if I remember correctly, under Settings->Media Player selection, you have the option to change media player for each function. So you can choose VLC oe MX Player or whatever else you want, and then use the more advance media player settings to control any image options.
I don't recall if there are options for the internal player.

Going from really old version and memory for the above. I don't use smarters, I really hate the interface personally, but that is all personal taste. But if they still offer external player, then you should have plenty of control even if the internal does not.

Before changing players, I am assuming you tried looking for a settings option (gear icon or otherwise) while your video is playing ? Like a GEAR icon on bottom (where you have the "play/pause/FFW HW etc.." options ? That way you can control it for the default player.
Reason I ask, is because in the release notes for older beta version 3.0.2 of IPTV smarters I noticed the comment saying "Brightness up/down on the player issue resolved: Now, it stores the last setting of the brightness of screen once a user is selected". So I am assuming that there is some sort of brightness control in the built-in player. I know this is a 1yr old version and things change, but I am hoping they did not remove features
