    If the router does not have a VPN setup on it then you can't, the router needs to be a VPN supported type router.

    Did you check the spec's for your router with Zyxel?? If it cant support VPN then you need one that can.

    Check this out from Zyxel, if your router is not on the list then your stuck.

    if you know your model number check it on dd-wrt wiki and look your model up on the router database, if its supported you can flash it, and add a vpn on it.... ah just looked it up your brand, and it looks like its not supported....

    For VPN get the Asus RT-AC 66U, then flash with Merlin.

    Same problem I had so my 12 year old Zyxel was replaced with a really nice TP-link AXE5400 (Archer 75). Setup vpn client with Surfshark and I am super happy with this tri-band router' speed, VPN implementation and all around ease of use. ps: You won't find this on any so called "approved list" of approved routers for VPN. It's too new.
