    Default periodic scanning

Should you re scan every so often to refresh so to speak the channels that can be received? I am on the north, both sats.
PS also which method of scanning is best?

With the Dreamlink T5, you are not required to re-scan to keep your transponders up to date. All you need to do is to turn off your receiver using the remote's power button every once in a while. You'll see a TP Update pop-up on your screen informing you that some changes (updates) are being applied to your receiver.

Once you have all 32 transponders configured for each satellite, the only time you would need to rescan is when a TP would switch from SD to HD requiring you to tweak settings accordingly.

Things are more or less stable these days but changes may occur as 91 Nimiq transponders slowly transition to HD.
