Default Could You Take A Peek Under The Hood

My DL HD went black on me while watching it the other night. Total power loss, no lights, nothing.
I also have an extra T5 and this is what I've tried so far with no luck
    - Different power supply
    - tested with HD Board removed
    - exchanged both rocker button on back and wire connection clip to rocker button on inside of box
    - It's a STB issue, nothing to do with Sat settings as the T5 works properly when swapped locations.
    - That's about the extent of my circuit board knowledge
I do have a multi-meter but not sure where to put the leads as to check for receiving power

Please take a look at the attached pic and see if you notice any obvious cap issues, I don't but it's not my area of expertise. I pulled out the HD board for the picture. Can't complain as it's given me 10+ years, but it's my favourite box and been more reliable than my T5.

I cant see any from that photo, can you take a bigger one??

And you can check the PCB for power if you look at the large electrolytic caps, one side is ground the other is a power buss, you could have 3, 5, 12, 13, 18 or some other DC voltage on those caps, if there is nothing, then there may be a fuse on the PCB, it may look like a cap or a small resistor, look under the red and black wires, they are the main DC feed to the unit.

Sorry still not big enough, even if I download it, I cant zoom into the caps...If they look domed up or bulged up, then they are bad....Check with your DVM for the DC voltages I mentioned.....

One thing you can also check is for excessive AC ripple on the DC buss, using the DVM with it set to measure AC you can look at the DC buss and see how much AC voltage is on that buss, if under 50 to 100 mV AC it should be OK, if much more then that it may be a cap problem.
