    Default Batterys

OK kids, anyone having problems with a very popular battery (and I can't post the exact name due to copyright's) called Durac$$l?

I have quite a few that have started to leak out the bottom's in the package, and are still within the 10 year guarantee lifespan, these battery's are in my survival kit, I was going through them to see what may be needed at a later date, these battery are only 5 years old, and have never been used.

I also have some that are installed in remotes and flashlights that have started doing the same thing.

    Anyone else??

Yessir...I have found 2 seldom used remotes with the same brand this year that puked & ruined 1 remote. The 10 year warranty means nothing.Batteries are the biggest over-priced items buy day to day.Explain why an AAA battery costs damn near 40%more than an AA battery?

Well I always take the battery's out of things that don't get used for a month or two, and keep them in a small plastic bag with the item.

The problem is that these battery's were never installed in anything, and were in an air/water tight metal 20mm ammo can, and air purged with argon gas from the welder,(I made the mod's to the can) I just opened the can to check if there was anything I may need right now, good thing I looked.

I have a 12 solar/battery system for the HAM stuff, anything that doesn't move gets attached to this system, and anything that needs a lower voltage then 12 Volts gets a voltage regulator, system works great, and if the Sun doesn't fully re-charge the system I can use the car/truck to charge the battery pile. I can also run an inverter if needed.

I'm setup for that day that the poop may hit the fan, and it looks like that day may soon be here.

All we need is to find out that this new virus cause's the dead to come back as Zombies, I have tons of 00 buck, and can reload them.

If your need is survival of either the Coronavirus or your current government, solar panels/rechargeable batteries are the best choice.

Been using duracells since 1972 have probably 30 presently in unopened boxes bought at half price sale really have haven't had many issues throughout the last 48 years
Their batteries were standard for power backup disruptions in hospital equipment for many years
They will take care of you I'm sure
    I still swear by them
Last many years in my maglights especially in the truck

I'm the range-master for the local ZORT* club, we try and get together once a month to train the kids on how to shoot and proper gun handling. And how to drain a case or two of beer after the training is over and the guns are clean and put away.
