Back to batterys....If you all need a battery for something and the poop has hit the fan, and you can't find any replacement's due to hording, you can use lemon juice, some small bits of paper towel, some nickel's and penny's, you make up a sandwich stack of one penny, one piece of paper towel, one nickel, make the stack as tall as you need, soak it with the lemon juice, and your done, also some sort of holder may be needed for the stack.

The nickel will be the + and the penny will be the -, you could use salt water if all the lemons have been used for something else, also dont let the paper towel touch the stage above or below.

And if the poop has hit the fan then coins will be a thing of the past.

You mite know this or you mite not, the best way to keep your batterys fresh is to put them in the freezer, give them about 2 HRs to thaw before you use them.

I keep mine in an ammo can at room temp,(in the ammo bunker) but the ammo can is filled with argon, keeps them dry.

Actually Duracell said not to put them in the fridge or freezer.
