Default Sonicview 8000 hd Viewing experience on TV displays 4k, Oled, Led, uhd, hdr

I still view my tv programming mainly on an outdated 50 inch Samsung Plasma screen and the picture is pretty good. I am looking forward for a good deal on a new Tv (at least 55 inch). All these new technologies become pretty confusing. Would you share your opinions ? Thanks.

It's a GREAT time to need a TV bro:so many good choices for very little money.I still have 2 plasmas up & running, & I like them both.I can turn down the thermostat & stay warm while I'm watchin' TV.lol.I still enjoy the picture quality, although it's soft by comparison to the new technologies.
Best TV picture quality I have in our home is by FAR the 65" Panasonic 4K upscaling HDR led.It is truly stunning. When I watch a 4K bluray like "Everest", I can't get over the picture quality.I know for a fact that Samsung,LG & others make TV's with similar TV image quality.
Short version:4K upscaling in the largest size you can afford, from any of the big three.I won't judge or comment on the smart tv characteristics because I never use them:I use HTPC instead.

One thing you have to remember most if not ALL of the Big providers (Bev, Dish, etc.) are not even close to
Brod-casting in 4K to begin with, most at SD=480 HD=720P & some HD=1080P (Handful of channels)

Upscaling tv makes that all better.
