Dual PVR Iptv Wishlist...
Are there any manufacturers close to making an iptv box that will run picture in picture or dual pvr with same abilities as the Bell 9242 or dish vip722 can do?
I believe that will be the breakthrough moment. My credit card is in hand for when it happens.

They would have to pay a fee to TiVo, they are the ones that own the DVR/PVR recording software rights, if you go with a OEM satellite provider (Bell or Dish) with a PVR, DVR or IPTV capable receiver, or a IPTV dongle that would have recording capabilities, you pay them (Bell or Dish) a small fee for the right to record video on your OEM receiver or other type of box, they then send TiVo this fee for them (Bell or Dish) to use this software.
Some of the manufactures of FTA receivers or IPTV box/dongle with PVR or DVR recording capabilities have had to do their own software to do this function, but it can't infringe on TiVO's software capabilities in any way shape or form, so their (FTA receivers or IPTV box/dongle) software is limited to very basic functions, the same would go for a IPTV interface dongle or box.
Comcast was hit with a lawsuit for violation of this patent.

That’s to bad. I believe the demand would be great. The catchup feature fills the need, but it seems to be a “work in progress” with regard to the reliability. The limitation of only going back 12-24 hrs doesn’t Provide the flexibility of a recorded program.
Maybe some iptv providers have it sorted out. If there is I’d like to know who.

With tivimate you can watch multiple channels..
It will also record but that appears to be a work in progress.

none of the retailers for formuler claim that feature so who would you believe?
their distributors or a website selling iptv?

That's why I put it out there. I have never used iptv but looking to get on board. I would like unit that acts like a pvr I dont care about pic in pic.
Is the dreamlink the way to go? Who has the best iptv service?
