    Default lnb question

have been using wave frontier torodial 90 dish for fta on 91 satellite for many years with a dreamlink t5
the past few days noticing some channels showing bad signal no signal at certain times of day then they
come back later on in the day . signal strengths were a week ago 60 to 80 on channels and no problems.

now signal strengths from 45 to 50s the past few days and some channels in morning are lower and getting bad signal no signal til a few hours later in the morning or afternoon . we had some rain and wind but then usually
symptoms are temporary . could it be the wave frontier lnb or something with cabling outside or internet fluctuations due to pandemic and more people working from home and home schooling.

also does anyone know where i could get wave frontier lnb for canada its dual reverse polarity lnb .

does anyone know a compatible dual reverse polarity lnb that is compatible with torodial 90 fta dish .

does anyone know if bell canada or server iks 9182 has been has been having issues the past few days with

signal drop off .. it was fine til just recently .

    thank you .

Could also be the power adapter, HD module, and or Heat issues
For starters try placing a fan blowing air down or across the receiver top and see if that helps

Happyfeet8, you have a second thread on this same subject in this one, https://www.satfix.to/showthread.php...arding-sat9182.

This looks to be a hardware problem, I will close the other thread as we would have all sorts of different questions and answers between the two.

And as I stated it the other thread, it could be phase inversion due to something causing the satellite signal bouncing off it, any new buildings out in front of the dish?

I'm having the same issue here in northeast usa. Only lost a few channels on 91. Sat 82 seems alright. Nothing what so ever blocking my dish.2 Dreamlink T5's both have the same issue.

thats where i am located also northeast usa .. no bldgs blocking signal nor trees .. it just started the past few days signal strengths going up and down causing signal loss.. have 2 t5s on line .. voltages fine on lnb.. this is happening in clear weather no wind at the time or rain when its happening.. its affecting signal strength that was up in 60s thru 80s and now 45 or less on some channels
its strangest thing .. we thought internet maybe due to pandemic home schooling and people working at home draining internet .
will check adapter ..wondering if it could be outside at dish end with maybe a break in cable or connector .. tech cant seem to find problem.. wondering if dish alignment could be messed up when we had those storms that came in from south a couple weeks ago with high wind and alot of rain .. there was water then in line which tech got out . pic came back and was fine til this weekend
when pic comes back and signal strengths get up to 45 to 50s for part of the day and then drop off on most of the channels .
1205 and 1211 and some strong channels are working find on north . is this a symptom of heat and module.
my brother turned his t5 off and that didnt seem to resolve it when he turned back on either.. i have replacement modules
but is there a way to tell if its module before replacing it.. thanks

Was happening to me a while back and finally tried swapping the lnb's. The prob switched from 82 to 91 so it ended up needing a new lnb. Easiest way to troubleshoot lnb's.

Just to elaborate on what other people have said..........

You say it's only on 91 and not 82, so go up to the dish and swap the lnb's around and see if the issue switches to the other sat, if it does then you know it's the lnb.
If no change then go to the switch and swap the cables around on the switch and see if the issue jumps to the other sat, if it does then you know it's the switch.
If no change with those 2 things take the receiver and a small tv up to the dish and connect with a short (good) cable and see if the issue is gone, if it is then you know you have a bad cable.
Since you say you are running 2 receivers if it's happening on both then it's unlikely that it's a receiver problem........

    Today its working fine .
No issues what so ever . Really weird. I know i'm right on the fringe of the footprint of 91/82.
