Default Newer Mag boxes compatibility issues

I keep hearing that newer Linux based boxes from Infomir such as MAG424W3 are not supported by many IPTV providers? If this is true then are we supposed to keep using the older Mag boxes such as 254/256 etc? I already use an Android box with STBEmu app but I want to use a faster but supported Linux based Mag box eg 424.

Get the buzz XRS4000 or 4500 edition. No need for STB EMU, it's android based and ridiculously fast. Get one quick!!!

Heck, any decent late model android STB will do. I sold off my old Dreamlink T1 Plus and upgraded to a Mecool KM3 and totally pleased with it. I'm so pleased I don't see myself upgrading for a long time since its Quadcore Amlogic S905X2 CPU is plenty fast for me.
