Default I can only find nimiq sat and no others, any suggestions?

Hi, I dug up my old dreamlink t5 to try and get the fta channels but I can only find the nimiq sat when I try aligning my dish. I'm not sure why no other sats show up. Any suggestions, thanks in advance

First off you need a linear LNB to get the FTA kU band satellites like 97W or others, and a second dish that could be fixed, steerable or movable, if the current dish and LNB(s) you are using is only showing 91 and 82 then you need a whole new setup.

At least a 1 meter dish with a linear Ku band LNB would get you 97W, add a motor and you can get all you can see from horizon to horizon from your location.

Thanks so much Terryl! Your response is very appreciated. I will find a linier Lnb and give it a shot.

Are you going to use your current dish??

If so then you will need to re-point it to 97W, dishpointer dot com can help you with that, all you need to do is enter your location and select 97W, this will give you pointing info and azimuth/elevation/skew settings to do that, it can also help you if you go with a second dish.

If you do go with a second dish I would recommend at least a 1 meter sized dish, you will have stronger signals on the linear side.
