When I was 19 my best friend and I were hunting Mule deer high up when a grizz charged us. He first did a false charge then stood on his hind legs and clacked his jaws. The sound was something out this world. He then came down on all fours and did a full on charge at me. I ended up having to shoot it. I got one shot direct under it's chin into its neck. It fell 8 feet from me. The smell was gross and I am not sure if it was comming from my undies or if it was the bear. The bear really did stink though as most Grizzly's do. The bear was just over 600 lbs. I reported it to BC conservation who ended up going up and getting the bear with my assistance.
