Default Sonicview 8000 keeps on rebooting

My Sonicview 8000 keeps on rebooting on its own continuously. Is there any fix for this?

most likely the Power supply board or bad/blown capacitors (heat build-up)
The SV8000HD is getting very long in the Tooth, IMO not worth fixing anymore
But if you decide to go that route you will need to repair the board & capacitors
Look in the SV8000 Section, should be a STICKY on Power Supply Repair or Capacitor Repair etc.

Look for a bulging/discolored/leaking capacitor on the power supply board, if you can't find one that does not mean that one is not going bad. A trick you can try is isolate each capacitor on the power supply board by wrapping a small piece of cardboard around it then heat it up with a hair dryer, if your receiver starts working right again for a few minutes then you have found the bad capacitor and replace it, after it cools down your receiver will start failing again. Do this to all the caps until you find the bad one........

C10 & C24 are the usual culprits....focus on those.I would try removing the 8psk module & leaving the sat cable disconnected first to see if that alters the rebooting at all.

It is your power supply only if the receiver front panel blinks before rebooting. If you 3.3 volt line is low. it is the power supply. Otherwise. Do a factory reset and reload your bin file. Any loose connection from the ps, the front panel or the 8psk module will also cause it. Remove the cover and wiggle each one of those mentioned. If the led lights on the back of your main board blink when you wiggle the wires. That is your problem.
