    Default Firestick Issues

My buddy has a couple Firesticks. One he already had OK2 running on it and bought another one yesterday. The new one, he loaded it up like he did with the first one and we tried wickediptv on it but it kept coming up 'connection error'. After multiple tries, I changed the mac addy on my buzz box to what his firestick mac addy is and it came right on for me. I changed my buzz back to my mac addy. His new stick still says connection error.
We then tried his original firestick that was running OK2 and changed the profile to wickediptv but it still said 'connection error'. So he to changed it back to OK2 and it now says 'connection error' on that one also.
I have never messed with a firestick at my home but does anyone know what the prob could be? Especially on the original firestick that was working fine before changing the profile.

It could be a WIFI issue, do you see your WIFI router in the settings and are all passwords correct for that WIFI? Don't use the Amazon password for the fire stick, but the one for the WIFI connection at your location.

Also try restarting the router with the fire stick on, the fire stick may not be getting an IP address, also with the fire stick on can you see the fire stick on your router?

Here is a good tool to trouble shoot connections to your network.

    Code:
    https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/
it's free and will tell you whats connected to your network or not.

I asked him that and he can use any of the apps on the firestick, just stbemu. I did just find a wickediptv app but not sure if that would solve his probs. It has no issue whatsoever connecting to internet, just wont load iptv.
The worst part is the one that was working until he changed the url from OK2 to wickediptv and back to OK2. No change in settings, just changing url.

He may need to reload the OK2 app, and check all settings.

He actually was using STBEMU. Was working fine like I said until trying to change the url from OK2 to wickediptv and back again. Maybe Ill have him load the ok2 app then and se what happens. I also found a wickediptv app and Ill have him try that on the new one......
Ill check out that tool also, thank you.

Unlike my buzz boxes, you have to manually type in http:// before the url. Learned something new today.
