    Default 103.0W SES-3 Tp11760 & Tp11880 ?

Locked my 1m motorized dish on SES-3, but can not pick up the NBC Mux with NBC-HDs & COZI TV.(TPs 11760H & 11880H) Heard these are hard to get, that they are a kooky skew on the LNB. I was thinking of installing a Direct TV World dish that I have lying around to give it a try. Tried bumping my 1m east and west to no avail already. Am I wasting my time with this World dish or do I need a bigger dish? If anyone has had any luck with receiving those TPs, your insight would be very appreciated!

    Thanks,

It depends on your location, i receive 103w with a 90cm dish , anything smaller then that i can’t lock the nbc stations.

I’m located in Quebec city, canada.

Great info, I'll give that a try. I'll bump it east using DiSEq1.2 from 103 after I move it using USALS. Knew it had to go off from 103, just didn't know if it was west or east.

    Thanks cpr43

Well I am in the south east US, I have to move my dish to the west of 103-C-band to get 103 KU-band.

What type of setup for the LNB's do you have?

You said you have to bump it off of 103 "C" band to get the "Ku" band transponders, do you have a dual LNB setup on some sort of LNB bracket?

If so then the "Ku" band signals may be too weak for the Ku band LNB to pick up in an off-set type setup.(good signals on "C" band when centered, weak on the "Ku" band)

My "C" and "Ku" band BUD setup has no problems with these transponders, but I have an all in one C/Ku LNB at the prime focus.

Using a 1metre dish with HH120 motor, LNB is a dual output Ku Linear Single LNB. I'm in the Canadian Prairies which Satbeams says 80cm dish. Manually imputed the 2 TPs on the Openbox and than moved the dish east and west with the Coolsat7000 using DiSEqC 1.2, but the meter did not move on those TPs? . . .? The NBC Mux, so far, has be elusive. Next test is 36" Direct tv world dish with it's funky single output LNB. That dish seems to be closer to a prime focus dish than an offset dish the way the LNB sits on the dish arm. With a stationary dish, I'm thinking I can tweek in those TPs manually moving the dish east or west & up and/or down for the elevation. Just need some time to work on it and weather to cooperate! No problem picking up the other 5 channels on that SAT's other TPs - they come in strong.

Thanks Everybody for your input! Still having FUN !

Try using a satmeter outside next to the dish, i needed more than 55% signal in order to get a picture on the receiver.

That is my plan. Needed to upgrade my satmeter so I am waiting for it to come. In the meantime I mounted a 1m dish for 125W and I'll use the new satmeter once it comes. Also gives me some time to work on the mini-bud which I am hoping to mount tomorrow, weather permitting and when I get the new satmeter, I'll lock in all the sats!

Might not need a new meter. Make sure using the right type of LNBF; Universal 9750-10600

A universal LNB is not needed as he has a linear Ku band LNB. That will work fine for 125W.
