    Default Power surge killed T5

A power surge killed the T5. Looking for the latest and greatest that is comparable or better. Any advice would be great. It was a really good unit and dont want to get a bad clone. IKS preferred.

    Thanks

If it has an external power supply (and I think it does) it can be replaced with any 12 volt 3 amp supply that has the same DC power plug.

The supply that plugs into the wall will go first.

Its not the power supply because I have 2 T5's and it wont power up at all and I can smell that the circuit board cooked somehow.

So where can I find another T5 if there isn't anything new. I cant go IPTV because my internet is too slowwwwwwww.

Ouch! I only paid 180 when they were the latest and greatest. I think I found the problem on my circuit board and will attempt the microsolder repair today. Thanks for the tip.

Hell ya. I guess my soldering iron will be the little red devil card loader equivalent lol.

I got it figured out, not sure where is came from bit a tiny peace of metal ended up going across whatever the little thing it hit was lol. Just had to run a new solder line to the component from the power supply plug. Whew!
