I had the same problem you have it in suspend mode.

is there an advantage to full shut down, or just leave in suspend?

Can anyone confirm if the 4900 runs 64-bit Android 9 or is it still 32-bit, or are amlogic sources for arm64-v8a still not stable? Previous buzz boxes have run the 32 bit version of Android 9.

So, what's the word on the 4900?
Been kinda quiet on any discussion.
Anybody buying these? Not that I'm in the market for one.

I bought one and love it. I haven't had a single problem or freeze. The picture clarity is excellent and I have nothing bad to say about my 4900. I run IPTV, Kodi with a good build, Amazon Prime and Netflix and zero issues.
