Buzz xr4000 losing wifi when changing channels

Questions:

1. how far away is the WIFI router from the problem buzz box?
answer: approximately 5 feet

2. how many devices using the WIFI signal from the router?
answer: gaming, cell phones and 2 other buzz boxes 3000 and 4000(bought a few months back) that work perfect..everything was turned off during troubleshooting and used a phone as a hotspot

3. what type/brand of WIFI router do you have?
Answer:dlink

4. what is the internet connection speed of the router?
answer: paying for 75 down, getting consistently 73.5 to 74

and lastly, do you live in an area that has more then one WIFI signal? (apartment, condo what)

Answer: house

I tested on my end for two days to try to reproduce, even on a weak wifi signal, and the device operated very well.

Maybe you can try using a wifi adapter, if you have one.

hes wondering why almost all his other boxes work fine in the same location

I loaded the box with stbEmu pro this morning and lost the wifi in under 10 seconds , really fast, performed worse than the secondary player on the tv buzz 4 app.

Only chance to watch some tv on this xr4000 unit at the moment is using the default player but that has some disconnections but not as fast as the other player or emulation that was tried.

I will send in this buzz box to the support people to test it out.

Watched 1 football game yesterday on a working 4000 and another game on a 3000 and not even a hiccup. Congrats Bills and Tampa.
