Worked fine for me. Did it last night on xrs4900, in QC, and I went from -3 hours, to -4 hours and all lines up.

When changing offsets on a buzz, it will often crash the buzztv app... What I typically do, is change the offset. Then exit the buzztv app, then go back in and clear the EPG (even though the offset change triggers that). And then it is fine again as it repopulates.

EDIT: I love the buzz boxes, but the EPG offset feature tends to be very touchy. In the past, I used to change offsets, and would see ZERO effect, until I started doing it in the order I set out above. It's as if it would crash, but internally would not set some required internal flags, and then when it restarted, it assumed there was no change needed, so the EPG would remain in original offset, even though the settings looked like it was changed.

That is the procedure I used on the Buzz XRS 3900 menu ; config epg; from -3 to -4 ; back out to exit then exit or cancel appear ; exit ; cleared both catche storage menus ; even turned off, removed power, then rebooted..... how do you clear EPG ?

No matter what I try my Buzz 3900 EPG remains 2 hours ahead of actual time . My time zone New York -3 in EPG offset. Although in account info timezone is America/Vancouver ? Seems it always takes several days to a week to correct itself.

I guess it depends on the model, but CLEAR EPG is on the same menu where you change the offset.

I forgot to mention, that after I change the offset, I exit back to the viewing screen and I don't touch anything else for about 2 minutes. If I touch anything, it eventually hangs and force close. After about 2 minutes, I exit buzztv app, and then go back.

it depends on app and buzztv 2 doesn't have that option

Make the change then exit buzz tv app. Re-enter and you should be fine. You can al reboot the internet, furthermore you can change the timezone in the device settings, not buzz app settings but the device settings. They're many options to try with the buzz and one will correct your issue for sure.
    Peace & Love

Yeah tried that also....just makes time incorrect onscreen if changed to a different timezone..... no matter what EPG offset (current, -1, -3, -4, -5) I select ; then backout till exit appears; exit live tv to launcher app; WAIT 2 minutes ; relaunch Buzz 2 live TV ; nothing changed when EPG detail view guide is onscreen ( for example fox news USA is 2 hours ahead) even though EPG offset menu changed to ( current,-1, -3, -4, or -5).......

Yesterday I realized that that some of the EPG was still offset.
So I played around with it again. Seems like when I set an offset to fix some channels I am targeting, it all works. BUT then I noticed some other channels that are offset also. So it seems like the EPG is not all offset by the same amount. It's as if some of the EPG entries have taken the time change into account, and other have not.

Usually you see these shifts during first week of November (since EU changes end of OCT and north america 1st week of NOv). So depending n sources used to compile, things can be shifted. But now, it is strange. I set an offset, and many of the channels line up perfectly. But then when I check further, notice that many others are not. So I keep overshooting in one direction or another depending on channels.

Seems to me that it is a server side EPG alignment issue. Doesn't look like any shifting on box can align them all.

I'll keep toying with it later. And maybe try another box also.

thanks everyone ..... I guess we just live with it until server corrects ..... my Buzz 3900 hates EPG tinkering & retaliates by being sluggishly slow ...lol....wish the powers that be would've ended Dalight Savings Time long ago.....

The xrs4900 is a little more forgiving when playing with EPG shifts. As long as you let it complete it's tasks (like clearing EPG) after a time shift, it tends to behave

But, yes I agree with you that all this DST stuff needs to go

But in an ideal world we would not need to change anything anyhow. Since the server identifies that it is Timezone "America/Vancouver", and the Media player (Android based) auto detects (or you manual select) your actual timezone, then the math should be simple to decide how many hours for a natural shift to be (and calculated by the app). The EPG manual shift option should only be needed for VERY specific cases, like those using VPN connection which connect to alternate timezones.

PS: Looks like "CA: Global Montreal" stream is down.. Thnx
