    Default bluetooth on buzztv xr4000

    friend has a buzz xr4000 and can't get the bluetooth to connect to his surround sound. had a buzz tv xpl3000 before and had no problems. the message he gets first says can't pair and then says bluetooth keeps stopping. anyone else have this issue? Thank you

    Thanks for the support email. Just tried bluetooth on my XRS4000 and it doesnt work. 6 days after my amazon return window closed.....Go figure...lol.
    Already opened a ticket with Buzz, just sucks I have to pay for shipping now but I know they will take care of it.

    Why would you send it back? There is a good chance it would be fixed with an update

    Well, I sent an email buzz support (the email provided above) and got this response:


    Customer Service (BuzzTV)

    Sep. 13, 2021, 2:52 p.m. EDT

    If you're getting that Bluetooth has stopped pop up
    The issue is with the box itself
    Its not a software issue.

    Since the return window closed on Amazon, we will have to replace the unit under warranty.

    Im assuming it has to be returned as thats what I was told by Buzz support.....Just waiting to hear from them on how its done.

    Got the email to ship it to them for replacement. Should have new one next week. As always, great buzz support!

    Well, got the new one today and its worse than the original one. I initially had live tv running until I tried bluetooth. Tried bluetooth, I get 'bluetooth stopped working', tried again and got 'settings stopped working'. Tried a reboot and live tv and got 'buzztv4 has stopped'. Never had any issues with the 50-60 xpl 3000 boxes purchased in the past.
    On top, it was a used box as it never had to initially load anything. Plugged it in and the main menu came on.
    Already sent buzz support another message and waiting to hear back.

    I also have a few friends that bought them and hopefully they dont try and use the bluetooth function as this is what seems to be messing up the boxes.

    After speaking with Buzz support again, and some help from here, they are sending me a new XRS4500 to replace the XRS4000 that had the bluetooth issues.
