    Default Scrambled channel

I have 2 dreamlinks. Sometimes for some reason when using both dreamlinks one will freeze and shows scrambled channel but if I switch the other dreamlink to the same channel as the other dreamlink that was scrambled channel it starts to work again. If I switch the other dreamlink to different channel it freezes again. Doesn't do it all the time just once and a while. Changed the lnb and it still does the same thing. Very strange. Any ideas what could be the issue?

Not using any switches as I thought it maybe a switch issue. Only error message I get is scrambled channel. Only does it once and a while. Was doing it earlier but now it's working.

So the wife is watching the other dreamlink changing channels and the one I'm using froze and error message says scrambled channel and the audio went from english to french but when she switched it to a different channel the one l'm watching started to work again and the audio is english again. This is really weird.

How are the 2-receivers hooked up, and what LNB's are you using legacy or DP etc.

Check your Cabling for rust, corrosion at the connectors etc.
The other thing that may cause it is Heat issues HD Module, try a fan blowing down on to the top cover
see if that helps any ?

Changed the coax and has new connectors. When I get scrambled channel and I change the channel some of the channels are working and others are scrambled, signal is ok and connection is connected. It's like there's something that is causing interference with the one box. Strange part is it only does it ever once and a while.

Have you tried running one box at a time (shut one down) see which one acts up by itself ?
Or swapping cables between boxes to see if it acts up ?

It's only happens with the box in the living room and if the other box is off don't have any problems. Tomorrow I'm going switch the cables around to see if it causes any problems. Definitely has me scratching my head. If it did all the time would probably be be easier to figure out but when it does it once and a while it's definitely confusing and frustrating trying to figure it out.

Today I switched the cables around still have the same issue, then I switched the boxes to see if it was a issue with the box still the same issue with scrambled channel in living room. Decided to the change the LNB again as I had a spare LNB and it turned out to be the new LNB was defective.

What are the chances of getting a new O.E. defective lnb?Sure make you second guess yourself when you're trying to diagnose a problem using the parts swap method.Glad you got it sorted out.
