Default Setting up T5 for IPTV

I’ve looked but can’t find any thread on setting up a Dreamlink T5 for IPTV. I was told by a reseller that it would work fine, but that I would have to find a thread on how to use it for IPTV. My T5 has only been used for IKS, but since that seems to be useless to me, it’s time I switch to IPTV.

Any suggestions on this, or if another box would be better, would be appreciated. Can someone please send a link to where I can learn the start up for using IPTV?

Is a VPN recommended for IPTV servers? If so, will VPN drastically slow down the speed so that streaming may not be possible, as now I only have 3 or 4 MB’s?

One last question: Am I correct in assuming that Viewsat, Pansat, or X-FTA dongle are not suitable for IPTV?

    If I recall The DL-T5 "Doesn't" do IPTV, DL-T 1-3 will as far as I remember, & DL-T6 Does Both ?
