Default benefit to 2 north providers?

Thinking about adding a 2nd north provider due to some freezing issues recently during UFC PPV events. I am curious if the main providers in this forum all use the same upstream providers or if they're independent? Can anyone shed light on this, and if there's a real benefit to having 2 providers? I'd just like to have 2 so I can watch the whole events uninterrupted, whichever provider a key comes from. Thanks.

not sure which one you use, my plumber rarely experienced any freezing issue unless there is a known ecm or downtime reported.

Maybe keep the service you have " IKS " and have IPTV as a back up .......

plenty of IPTV services here and else-where ...... i've heard the buzz XRS 4900 is the best on the market ... i have the XR 4500 , nothing wrong with trying out IPTV , i've heard its the future of tv ...

IPTV isn't in no way stable as of yet unless it's allocated with a set bandwidth(AT&T with U-Verse basically).And,$200 for a Chinese Android box isn't worth it when you can basically make a Firestick do pretty much the same thing. But,it's a good backup and so many different apps you can stream for free is the good side.
