My Buzz 4900 can’t find my cell phone hotspot when trying to log in with password. It appears in the wifi list, but can not connect. Anyone else ever had this issue with a cell phone hotspot?

I discovered that despite showing the hotspot as available wifi, Buzz will not allow the box to connect to the hotspot if an ethernet cable is plugged in. It now connects instantly.
However, I now have another problem. My cell phone speedtest shows over 18M of speed, but the speedtests with the apps I am using on my Buzz box only shows speed of .67M. Anyone know why the huge difference? Could my phone’s carrier be throttling the speed back if it sees a Buzz box connected? If so, how can I change the device name my box transmits? ....BTW, my Box shows good speed test with wifi when connected to my router that is using my ISP.
most phone company give you a limit on bandwidth if on unlimited plan then throttle you down to 0.6Mbps
have you reached your cap at full speed ?
some company's like Verizon throttle hotspot after so many gb
you can sometimes bypass this using a vpn
but i would make sure your on a unlimited plan if using cell for iptv so you dont get a massive bill

I set my 4900 up and tethered to my phone on the 2.4 Ran speedtest after connecting and had 30 down 2 up
ran livetv for an hour no issues
On a further note I used my 4900 when I was out of town last week and used it for an hour or two at end of day with no issus
I had to use my phone for a hot spot for a couple days, never had any issues.
Internet was down so had to have some thing.
