I installed a 1TB hard drive on xrs4900 but it does not recognize it

Might need to be formatted first for the xrs4900 to see it ? Weather FAT32 or NTFS ?

You mean first format with my computer before installing xrs4900 hard

Format it on a PC first to NTFS
Than Format it on the box as external storage
It should work after doing this.
