    Default Wifi issue

Took my box to vacation same house and wifi as a few months back worked great.

It sees the wifi authenticates and goes to saved. It wont get an ip and connect. I've rebooted wifi and box tons of times. Reinstalled password. Pulling my hair out.

    Any ideas

Also tried changing the wifi password in the router, static ip, installing the mac on the router amongst other things. Every other device I have has no issues including another android box. It's only the Global. It does the same thing at my house with the 2.4 network, but connects the 5G band. This router chooses for you and you can not select one or the other, but again. I had it here months ago with no issues on the same equipment.

Does modem/router recognize it or see it in settings (logged into router) and it's set to DHCP not Static
Where modem/router assigns it a IP address.

It's not in the active device list or the routing table because it won't obtain an IP.

Can you possibly Hard-Wire it (cat-5) see if it works then ? or assign it a Static IP in router ?

Much appreciated, but no. I erased the machine and reset up. There is no server on it currently.

Just trying to get connected first.

I would try and Hard-Wire it, just to rule out any WiFi issue etc.

No issue with a hardline. Connected right up. The router is in a location that can not move, so this doesn't resolve my problem unfortunately.

OK, maybe a IP Conflict, can you log into router and possibly reset router back to default settings
Back to square-one ? I don't know what else to suggest, hopefully a member here will chime in with a
    Solution to your Problem.

The mystery is the fact that he said it worked before. He didn't mention weather he uses it wirelessly or ethernet at home.
