Default Start-up in Windows 10 Pro

I installed Windows 10 Pro on my HP laptop recently, and the start-up was not as clean as you would find in Windows 7 - press the power button and you wait for a minute or so until the desktop is seen, and with sound etc.

But this Windows 10 Pro when you press the power button, what comes on is this:
"Press ESC key for start-up menu" and when I do that, it comes back on a second time: "Press ESC key for start-up menu" and when I do that for a second time and wait, I see all the F's in the start-up menu - F1, F2, F7,F9,F10, F12, and "ENTER" to continue, and when I do that, and wait it will now proceed to start-up.

I understand Windows 11 has the same start-up issue.

How can I disable all these long drawn-out information on start-up, and, like in Windows 7, press the power button and wait until I hear the desktop theme come on.

By the way, the start-up sound in Windows 10 is disabled for some strange reason, but there is a way to get around that.

First off, how old is the laptop? Does it have a BIOS screen or a UEFI screen? during the post on start up?

Here are some suggestions on this problem...

    Code:
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/21284-enable-disable-fast-boot-uefi-firmware-settings-windows.html
This would check if you have that option, or enable fast boot in the laptops BIOS or UEFI settings. (if they are there)

    And this..

    Code:
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-turn-off-fast-startup-windows-10-a.html
This would set it up in the windows platform.

Probably the correct GPU drivers are missing, W10 needs an onboard graphics card driver of DirectX 9 or later and with a WDDM 1.0 driver installed on top of that.

Also W10 is a CPU and ram hog, if your CPU is too slow (under a gigahertz) and you don't have at least 1 GB of free ram, it will be snail speed at best.

Well, I did a little research online re my first above log, and found what someone wrote, and tried that.
It may have worked as the start-up is now much faster than before, and I am not seeing all those start menu items (F's) When the it says "press ESC key to start menu" Well, I didn't press that at all, let it ride itself out. And it did go away on further start-ups.

From power on to desk-top takes about 25 seconds, or less. So this is what I read and did:

    (WINDOWS 10 PRO)

    (1) Windows key + R
    (2) Type MSCONFIG
    (3) Hit ENTER
    (4) Click BOOT tab
    (5) Click in the TIMEOUT box, and change it to 0 (that's what is said, but the value is from 3 upwards) So change to 3
    (6) Click apply, then OK
    (7) Restart computer, if prompted

I just switched to Windows, too, and I had the same start-up issue as you. I found a solution that might work for you. To disable the start-up menu, press Windows key + R, type "msconfig" and hit enter. Then, go to the "Boot" tab and uncheck the "Safe boot" option. That should disable the start-up menu and allow you to boot up normally.
As for the start-up sound being disabled, I'm not sure why that would happen, but I'm glad you found a way to fix it. Windows 10 can be a bit tricky to navigate at first, but there are plenty of resources out there to help.
By the way, have you checked out the Cheap Windows 10 Keys subreddit? They have some great deals on Windows keys if you need one.
Sorry for reviving a months-old thread, but I'm on the hunt for similar info and stumbled upon this post.
