Red face jynx clone, what bin or allchunk?

So if all jynxbox/jazybox are clones after v3 does that mean the latest (V30) file can be loaded into any box after v3?

If so can they be loaded by USB as a bin, or do you have to use the loader? I used to know this stuff but it's been a while.

All I remember about the clones is to use the AZlink v2.53 I think on all the Clones, it works better and less temperature

    Cool

I ended up running this file:

    https://www.satfix.to/showthread.php...e_V12_dual-New

It say firmware version : 3.3.12 in system information. Box is very cool (I'm surprised). This box has 12 VDC header for fan, so I used at 24 VDC fan and it runs nice an quite. I used 40mm x 40mm x 10mm fan, glued it in.

On any box I ever use that has the cover over the DVB tuner I remove the cover (see picture). IMHO it's not the Broadcom 8PSK making the heat it's the tiny DVB tuner under the cover, look how small that chip is compared to 8PSK chip.

This seems to work for any tuner in the VS Max, Dreamlink Jynx an so on. Hope it helps.

That looks like the 8psk Turbo FEC tuner, the DVB-S2 tuner doesn't have the aluminum heat dissipator, and the Chip of the DVB-S2 is an ALi Chip
In that case, try to glue an aluminum heat diissipator to that small Chip so the fan can remove the heat faster

    Not sure what you mean.

There are two tuners one does the HD (turbo 8psk) the other DVB SD (maybe DVB-S2 also not sure). But either way that tuner under the cover does the SD channels.

Most of those tuners are upright and I don't want to risk a stick on in case it falls of onto terminals below. I guess it could be epoxied in place as servicing that chip would be difficult or just cheaper to replace the complete DVB tuner.

All I am saying is removing the cover of the DVB tuner does wonders, weather they are integrated with the the 8psk or if it's stand alone, like in the VS max and the Dreamlinks. Very simple fix, nothing to lose but heat

The tuner in your photo has a heat dissipator on the Chip outside, you can find an aluminum piece smaller than that one and glue it with the proper glue for these purposes and it will help remove the heat from that Chip the fan will help remove the heat from the aluminum, I have both tuners 8psk and DVB-S2 on my AZlink with computer fan it never failed me........

That is my DVB-S2 tuner the ALi Chip doesn't have the heat dissipator like the 8psk has

No idea, it has been sitting in the room where all the electronics are stored away, I might start using it again with the DVB-S2 tuner. A good air compressed cleaning before plugging it to electricity
