Can Roku Tv be paired with Buzztv X5 AX Special Edition. I tried everything and can not get it to pair.

    This is a c & P from Allaboutbuzz

    Source pair for TV feature

Won't work on TVs that have built in Roku TV

That's why it doesn't work for you

To turn TV on/off, yes, you probably have to use the Roku remote or directly on the TV if it has buttons (but at least that is just a one time thing when you decide to watch TV so not too bad).

But for the Volume, you don't need to. Set the TV to a middle volume. Make sure on the X5 you turn off the "force max volume" option from the settings. And then you should be able to control the volume from the X5 remote.

From home screen, select Settings icon on top, then Settings, BuzzTV Utilities, Volume Control. There is an option for "force max volume". IF it is enabled, then the x5 will output max volume all the time and volume needs to be controlled from your TV remote (in cases where remote is not paired with the TV). IF you disable that option, then the X5 will output variable volume and the volume button on the remote should control the volume output by the X5. I typically keep my TV at mid level (50% to 60%) and then control the volume from my x5 remote.
