Take your time, be clean & think it through.Any doubts at all, stop & clarify.Do so & you will be fine...you won't need luck because skill & common sense will prevail.Worked for me that way for 47 years.
ps...don't forget to soak the frictions for a few hours before assembly.
Yes sir, I got the perfect place to soak everything before assembly, also Vaseline for assembly

It seems the kit has an upgrade or something I am doing wrong, the clutches that got burned were only 3 the kit has 4.........according to the ATSG book it has 3 clutches

Many trans kits will cover several models of the same transmission bro. There must be a build that has an extra friction in that clutch, but not yours.Do as the manual for your model, or replicate what you had.You should check clearance when the clutch packs are assembled anyways.
Thanks, Replicating all, I bought the shim for the Overdrive section to avoid this again, everything in the transmission was good but those clutches, possibilities? I was told one of those possibilities was the clearance was not checked when assembled last time and cause those clutches to burn, inside the overdrive unit all was good, planetary was good bearing and washer, it is back in the press for assembly with new snap ring
