It is to do with Avian Flue or Poultry Flue, create a "SHORTAGE" so that they can raise the Price of things

Not that long ago I could buy Chicken legs with Backs for under $.99 per/lb now it's like over $4/lb.

Any excuse so that they can make things Smaller & inflate $$$

It's the same thing with this so called Supply Chain Issue, Create a shortage where demand out-paces supply
so that Prices will increase because of it, But there are Warehouses & Truck/Trailers Full to the "RAFTERS" of goods/supplies
sitting there Going Nowhere. "CORP. GREED"

Seen some for 9 bucks a dozen, I have a Dozen laying hens, but they slow down on the laying in winter, unless I put a light with a timer on it. chickens need to be up 12 to 15 hours a day light to lay efficiently.. plus way better tasting eggs than the store!

i have 4 layin banta hens and 22 quail hens
4 roo. in my area i can only have 4 chicken hens
no roosters i have a light on 24/7 seems my birds
are afraid of the dark they do molt in the winter too
i moved my birds into a shed when they announced the bird flu again
i do let the bantas out for a few hours but they like their shed.
Quails are easy and the eggs are better than chicken eggs takes 4
to equal one chicken egg but better taste less fats.problem is now
the price of feed at 26 bucks for a 50 pound bag remember the phrase cheap like chicken feed
no mas.i do pay for my feed though selling balut eggs nasty chit man for those who
dont know balut filipinos enjoy it its quail eggs brought to the 15th day before hatching on
the 18th day they steam or boil them crack them open and swallow the unborn chick lol i dont
how they get past the smell of it.

you dont need to live on a farm to raise quails most residental neighborhoods
you can raise them. with the farmers saying food shortages coming it may be wise to
    raise a few.

i have a neighbor who has chickens for the eggs, some are colorful, but some time ago he put a heater in his coop and it caught fire, singed his neighbors house and the insurance rebuilt his house from the smoke damage, the plumber made several trips to the house, seems like he could not solder the copper pipes right and had leaks, what ever happened to pressure testing the system, any how when one lays an egg they let you know,

Hey!!!!! Don't turkey lay eggs???? I remember a long time ago (before the last ice age?) having turkey eggs at Grandpa's farm because all the chickens got eaten by a fox, we couldn't tell the difference.

Also one Ostrich egg would feed a family of 5 for breakfast if scrambled.
