Are you getting any messages on TV Screen like "Bad Signal, No Signal" ??

If so then it might be your Power Adapter, is Failing ?

    Yeah I get this message.
I don't have any bulbing capacitors, but I'm going to test each of em and powersupply with multimeter.

Try a different (New) Power Adapter, if you are getting the "Bad Signal, No Signal" Message

That won't cause his Receiver T5 to Reboot which was his original post on the issue, But a Failing power adapter
or HD Module, bad Caps etc. will most likely cause it, especially when you are getting the "Bad Signal, No Signal" Message
    Showing up on TV.

No the dish is good, I got really good signal on both lnbs.
Did a lot of tests, it really seem to be powersupply or hd module. It did reboot without but just once.

    I tested 3 powersupplies, 1 x 2a, 1 x 2.5a and 1 x 5a. It reboot with all of them. I got them for about 2 years.

I tested 2 hd modules. It reboot with both.

I need to test with brand new powersupply or hd module, to be contined....

If you are "Still" Getting The "Bad Signal, No Signal" Message Showing up, Then My $$$ is on the Power Adapter is Failing

or the Components inside the T5 (bad Caps) are on their way "OUT." You may not always see Bulging Caps, indicating

    they are Bad or Failing.

Your T5 HD Module, should have either a Silicone or Aluminum Heat-sink on it already ?
And you have to make sure it is seated/installed on the Board in the right direction (arrow on module pointing to back of T5)

Yeah it had a rubber block on my first, now it is an aluminum heatsink.
It felt by itself, so I put it back on the module with thermal compound.

If your 8psk is getting too hot, even with supplemental cooling, AND you have had multiple power supply problems, you probably have a cabling/lnb/switch issue causing this.Time to look deeper in to the cause rather than the effect.I have only once replaced an 8psk for the second time on a dreamlink, and never a power supply for the second time.I have about a dozen dreamlinks out there.I assume you're using at least 3.5 amp supplies?
If your unit has the silicone block heat sink, take note that they are slightly rectangular rather than square.Be sure to install it the way that gives it the best crush between the the 8psk & the cover. You should feel a slight warm spot where the block & the cover contact.

No I checked everything, I got a 4amps and 5 amps powersupply, a laptop cooling system (not connected on the box), my lnbs and cabling are fine.

I know that my problem was the heat of the module. Thats better since I put new thermal paster with goog heat sink.

    No reboot for now.

    Thx

laptop cooling system, (where T5 Sits on top of it) Is Not going to "CUT IT FOR COOLING" not enough air-flow
from bottom of Receiver upwards, Needs circulating air from Top-down & some way of getting the Hot air out

I know for sure the original power supply effects the T5. In fact I've changed it myself to great success.

This latest conversation however has nothing....really to do with the topic post. Maybe, if a mod has a few minutes this thread could be split for both topics.
