It's not the same situation as yours but just to say , if they are in the wrong , sometimes they
own the mistake ,, in your case there is a (Pay by) date on your bill ,, if you pay late , I don't think
anyone from the customer service department has a passcode or an override procedure to
credit a client based on "client payed late" reason. They need to get an override from
management to issue a credit and management is trained to decline credits.
