I just put in a propane Rinnai tankless water heater. Thursday I finished the plumbing and electricity to it .

A little back story for you , I just remodeled my kitchen (to the studs) and went with a propane stove and tankless water so the propane company would put a large tank in my yard. I also wanted to hook my gen up to a large tank but the propane company won't put the tank in for just the gen or a stove-only. Come to find out I get a 500.00(water heater) and 250.00(stove) rebate back from switching to propane from electric.

Seems strange your getting rebates for going to Propane, when propane is not ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY compared
    to Electricity which is. ?

You're on the Left Coast, If a volcano burbs millions of tonnes of carbon, it's nature. Natural gas is way cleaner than coal but the newest bad boy for who knows why?

hot water heaters use to cost $150. -$200, now they cost #1,000, and in some communities local ordinances make you hire a plumber to install them and get a permit, some of us still know how easy it is to replace them, getting rid of the old one, you have to find the right recycle yard that will take them without charging. when i was young we had to heat water on the gas stove to have hot water.

Gas water heaters went from 795.00 during covid to $1500.00 today here, and a bylaw mixer on top of the tank to mix the cold with the hot so no one get scald. Pay to heat the water then dilute it. Lots of Einsteins at ****ty Hall.
