Only way to get it out..In most cases if it is stuck..the drive has failed ...or eject mode has jammed or is broken .
In any case...Remove the player..and take it apart...They are pretty straight forward .
Only best way to recover disc and or save player if possible .
Cheers
Faceplate does come off but still no access to the drive..
I really don't want to uninstall the unit from the vehicle as all wires were hard soldered by the aftermarket bestbuy installer..
eject works when pushed but all it does is click a dozen times or so and go back to the radio..
The disk will play if I turn the key off and restart the player..
As above >>I really do not want to uninstall the unit..and as VIEWSATONE knows all bout this stuff ..I figured he would have run into that ..with all that experience as a bestbuy installer..
Guess I will try the old popsicle stick with double sided tape,,first..
Thanks folks..
some have that pinhole
that's why I asked if faceplate came off
or try removing power from it for a bit
see if it resets it
I thought most car decks had a plug on the back of them? I haven't seen one with permanently attached blunt cut leads before. Aftermarket decks are simple enough to remove.I really don't want to uninstall the unit from the vehicle as all wires were hard soldered by the aftermarket bestbuy installer..
Normally what they do is take the pigtail from the deck and solder it onto an adapter harness that connects to the wiring in the dash.

Wow..... That's terrible workmanship, the adaptor is so cheap too.

If you can power on the unit, and press the eject button still, then this how-to should work for most standard in-dash units. (There is also a tiny black button behind most face-plates on aftermarket stereos that you can press with the end of an opened-out paper clip, should your eject button not work.) .....or....# Get a 1 inch to 2 inch wide putty knife and wrap tape around it with the sticky side of the tape on the outside of the knife. Use a strong tape like Gorilla tape for best results. The knife is typically tappered so that if you wrap the tape tight enough it will not slide off the end

Get a piece of paper and stick it to one side of the knife. Trim with scissors. You now have a thin sticky knife you can slide into the CD player opening.
#
3
Insert knife into CD player with sticky side down trying to get it to go on top of the CD that is stuck. Press down gently to get the tape to stick to the CD.
#

Gently lift up and pull the knife out. Hopefully the CD will come with it. You might try hitting the eject button if it doesn't work the first time...,,,,,,,,,,,,Google it....Lots of answers
Is there a little tiny pinhole in the front of the unit? (should be close to the CD port)
If there is then get a paper clip that will fit the hole and straighten it out, push it in very slowly till it stops, then give it a push, it should eject the CD.
What is the make/model number of the player?
