any testing done with the force and limit controls? start with the lighter pull
EyeQ, I did the reverse cables at the limits, brown and yellow wires and it didn't work a 100%, so I looked at how the motor reacted and found out or got to the conclusion that I had to reverse something else not just the limits, so I reverse the wires at the capacitor blue and red and ended up with red with blue and blue with red, at the limits I ended up with, the yellow was is the brown and where the brown was is the yellow, I plugged the power, gave it a shot and WALA!!!!!!!!!!!! it worked without hitting or anything, I test the security feature and it worked, now it really opens the gate if sensor detects something in the middle, I have to thank you all, with all of your replays I added them and used some logic and now my mom and I can sleep knowing the gate will not harm anyone or any pet......................Thanks a lot.

Hello
I"m in the process of installing a 3/4 hp craftman garage door opener, but in my case it will open an sliding gate, I also need to reverse the motor direction. I read your instruction, but there are not clear, for me, there are two big capacitors side by side, the one at the left have two heavy gauge wires that connect to the motor, one red the other blue and a smaller gauge red wire that connects to control board; did you reverse the two heavy gauge wires on the left capacitor (the red with the blue and reconnected the red wire were the blue was....... did you had to reverse the red and blue wires on the right capacitor also???? In other words you switched both capacitors wires or just the one that connects to the motor.
Could you please clarify, thanks in advance
Juan

Those are the instructions that I read but not sure if he means to swap the wires in one capacitor or in both capacitors, please refer to the attachment.........
Thanks
Edit: Solved: you have to interchange the red and blue wires at the control circuit board black female connector and reverse the limit wires, thanks........................

Hello, it was a few months a go but still remember what I did, at the Capacitor I sawp the wires, red with blue and blue with red, then at the limits adjusters I also swap the wires and re adjust the limits, remember by doing this the limits will work opposite of the drawings........................Also check the first few post and will find more photos of what I did and where I did. In my case there was only 1 capacitor.
Good Luck TURBO.
