ould it finally be upon us? According to a new report from Reuters, the iPhone 4 is not only in production after a short delay (insert sarcasm here), but it may be available by the end of this month. The reason for the reversal in unavailability is due to the supposed resolution of various production and manufacturing setbacks that have effectively kept this product from consumers for almost one full year.

Two people familiar with the situation tell Reuters in a report published moments ago that Apple's suppliers and production partners are now moving full steam ahead on the long-awaited white iPhone 4. Based on information provided to the news outlet, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd. (which is part of Taiwan's Foxconn Technology Group) is now actively assembling the white iPhone 4.

Although the "sources" contributing to the report aren't officially on the record and not revealing their names, their confirmation of the white iPhone 4's looming debut is consistent with what we've been hearing from other in-the-know personalities for quite some time - including even a few big name at Apple.

As some will recall, it was just last month when Apple's Senior Vice President of Marketing Phil Schiller went on the record (albeit via Twitter) to confirm that the wait was almost over for the iPhone 4. According to Schiller himself, the long-anticipated white handset would become available "by spring." This timetable is obviously consistent with that which has been presented today by Reuters.
