    Can anyone direct me to a good oven top glass cleaner that will clean well and not harm the glass and surrounding surfaces

    Baking soda on a damp sponge works well.

    I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but Sears sells a beauty one. Cleans everything off the top and give it a beautiful "like new" shine when done.
