What a great edition to the Senators...Still a scrappy player putting up points and showing great leadership as a veteran...maybe this help his motivation more than the leafs franchise..hehe...

I always said that Dion Phaneuf got a raw deal in Toronto....like so many before him MLSE got their media boys to point the never ending finger of blame on Phaneuf after they were done blaming Kessel and those before them for their abysmal hockey team. That`s the only thing MLSE does well....blame anyone and everyone but the actual guilty parties....themselves. Phaneuf wasn`t the 1st pairing guy....except Toronto said he was.....Kessel was nothing but a scorer but he was to blame for his defensive liabilities, except Toronto said he was the saviour. Truth is the entire team was overrated by the press and MLSE sold the fans thru the press that the Leafs were a viable team.
It`s nice to see Phaneuf and Kessel doing well with their respective teams now.....now that they aren`t being made into something they`re not by a media machine looking for someone to blame. Good for them......
